Dr. Knight spends his downtime hanging out with bees and teaching his children life lessons.
“Bees are some of the hardest working creatures on the planet. They’re a wonderful example of what it means to work hard. From the construction of the hives to harvesting and selling honey, my boys are learning, at a young age, what it means to be great ‘worker bees’.”
Dr. Knight first got the idea of beekeeping from a patient. Soon after, his family started their first hive. Two years later, they’ve now established three more. Their plan is to have a total of fifteen.
“My children love to take care of the hives and we all love harvesting (and eating) the honey. Bees are easily amongst the most important insects to humans. These humble, buzzing bugs deserve a big thanks.”
