This case involved tooth #30, referred for treatment and evaluation due to severe pain. The patient, seen on an emergency basis, had a full-coverage restoration placed three months ago.
The diagnosis was symptomatic irreversible pulpitis and symptomatic apical periodontitis. A radiographic exam revealed a classic radix entomolaris root formation, with an extra root typically positioned lingually.

These are the results that I love to see.
Even though the cone beam scan information shows that all these canals merged into one portal of exit, we clearly see that they branch into separate poles of exit, but the canals still merge.
This was a very nice, technical root canal treatment with no problems or complications.
