Life as a dentist can be stressful at times, making it important for clinicians to find ways to relax and recharge during their off hours. To inspire you to do just that, we’re featuring dentists with “extreme” hobbies in every issue. These dentists take their down time seriously and know how important it is to unwind every now and then.

Dr. Leandro Velasco shares his love for skydiving:

“My first experience with skydiving was in 1999. I was fascinated, but due to my studies and commitments I did not continue in the sport. I ended up doing other sports like kitesurfing and hang gliding, but in 2016 I returned to parachuting. I jump almost weekly, and this is a time where all my problems and worries go away, where I live only in the moment. Nothing else matters. This is something that makes me feel more alive.”

- Dr. Leandro Velasco, Clínica Eleve, São Paulo, Brazil
